SBL Text-Critical Studies

The SBL Research & Publications Committee has approved the creation of a new book series devoted to the study of the biblical text, titled SBL Text-Critical Studies. This series is designed to complement existing series, including The New Testament in the Greek Fathers, Septuagint and Cognate Studies, and Masoretic Studies.

Series Description

This series is devoted to the study of biblical textual criticism. Monographs dealing with any aspect of textual criticism of the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament or New Testament are welcome, including investigations of methodology, studies of individual manuscripts, critical texts of a selected book or passage, or examination of more general textual themes (text-critical studies of works closely related to the canonical books may also be considered). Studies that cross the traditional canonical boundaries are especially encouraged. The series may include article collections devoted to a particular topic, reference works, and books suitable for classroom use.

Submissions

All submissions should include both hardcopy and an electronic version (the latest versions of Word and Word Perfect for Mac or PC are acceptable electronic formats; other formats must be approved by the series editor). Send submissions or enquiries to the series editor: Jimmy Adair, ATLA Center for Electronic Resources in Theology and Religion, 5385 Five Forks Trickum Rd., Suite 201, Stone Mountain, GA 30087; 770-935-1950 (phone), 770-935-1663 (fax), jadair@rosetta.atla-certr.org. Potential authors should read the book proposal guidelines for the series. Sample permission letters are also available.
